NACTVET/NACTE Entry Requirements for Admission into Health and Allied Sciences Programmes March 2022 Sifa za kujiunga na vyuo vya afya diploma & sifa za kujiunga na vyuo vya afya ngazi ya cheti. NACTVET Technical education is defined as “education and training undertaken by students to equip them to play roles requiring higher levels of skills, knowledge and understanding and in which they take responsibility for their areas of specialization”. NACTE is thus, a multidisciplinary and multi–sectoral body empowered to oversee and coordinate the provision of technical education and training in Tanzania.For an applicant to be eligible for admission into Health and Allied Sciences (HAS), he/she must satisfy the minimum entry requirements of four passes in non religious subjects in Certificate of secondary education examination (CSEE).
However, there are some programme requirements that are specific to certain programmes. The following information provides minimum admission requirements for Diploma Health and Allied Sciences (HAS) related programmes as detailed here.

Entry Requirements for Admission into Health and Allied Sciences for Diploma Programmes
1. Ordinary Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery: Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including Chemistry, Biology and Physics/Engineering Sciences. A pass in Basic Mathematics and English Language is an added advantage.
2. Ordinary Diploma in Clinical Medicine: Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including Chemistry, Biology and Physics/Engineering Sciences. A pass in Basic Mathematics and English Language is an added advantage.
3.Ordinary Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences: Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including Chemistry, Biology and Physics/Engineering Sciences. A pass in Basic Mathematics and English Language is an added advantage.
4.Ordinary Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences: Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious Subjects including Chemistry and Biology.
5. Ordinary Diploma in Clinical Dentistry: Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including Chemistry, Biology and Physics/Engineering Sciences.
6. Ordinary Diploma in District Health Management: Holders of Ordinary Diploma (NTA Level 6) or its equivalent in any Health Discipline.
7. Ordinary Diploma in Health Information Sciences: Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including Biology, Basic Mathematics and English Language.
8. Ordinary Diploma in Health Personnel Education: Holders of Ordinary Diploma (NTA Level 6) or its equivalent in any Health Discipline.
9. Ordinary Diploma in Animal Health and Production: Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including two passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geography and Agricultural Sciences OR National Vocational Award (NVA) III/Trade Test I in Animal Health and Production with at least two (2) passes in Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE).
9. Ordinary Diploma in Bio-medical Equipment Engineering: Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including Chemistry, Biology and any pass in Physics/Engineering Sciences,
Mathematics or English OR General Certificate Course in Engineering (GCE).
10. Ordinary Diploma in Biotechnology: Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including Chemistry, Biology and any pass in Physics/Engineering Sciences,
Mathematics or English OR General Certificate Course in Engineering (GCE).
11. Ordinary Diploma in Science and Laboratory Technology: Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including Chemistry, Biology and any pass in Physics/Engineering Sciences,
Mathematics or English OR General Certificate Course in Engineering (GCE).
Technician Certificate in Nursing and Midwifery
Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including Chemistry, Biology and Physics/Engineering Sciences. A pass in Basic Mathematics and English Language is an added advantage.
Technician Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences
Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including Chemistry and Biology.
